Four Tet

Good morning.

It’s Friday so we’re listening to something more upbeat. Today we’re listening to Four Tet, an English electronic musician. We first recommended him about four years ago. A sui generis fixture in electronic music for decades, he’s put out ambient, minimal house, two-step, trip-hop, glitch, and more. His latest album, Three, came out last Friday. The 8 tracks are mostly chill-out instrumentals with hip-hop style breaks, i.e. great flow state music. We’re also playing a record from Fridge, the post-rock / experimental band in which Mr. Tet played guitar. That record is Happiness, which originally came out in 2001 and was remastered in 2023.
