Today’s mix opens with a new track from harpist Lara Somogyi’s new album, a [time] patterned, which is a collaboration with cellist Clarice Jensen. It continues with several longform ambient pieces by anthéne, Hayes Bradley, and Charlemagne Palestine. We play a piece from John Carroll Kirby’s new solo piano album. The second half of the mix is mostly guitar-led, with some instrumentals by Ibukun Sunday and The Durutti Column. Charlie Hunter Trio plays a Nirvana cover, mashing up “Come As You Are” and “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” We play a track from Paperclip People (Carl Craig) before concluding with a track from Lusine’s new album.
