The Flow State podcast, for paying subscribers, plays two hours of vocal-free focus music every Tuesday.
Episode details

Good morning.

Today’s mix opens with a track from Minecraft, followed by a long, almost New Age track from Portland-based Former Selves. There’s another long piece from Terry Riley, followed by a new ignorable yet interesting track from Brian Eno. We wend our way through the lobby music of Final Fantasy XIII before ripping two artists directly from the most recent Ambient Country podcast: Jimmy Giuffre and North Americans. Next there’s Bill Evans, a cathartic number from the Heat soundtrack, and a 2018 composition from Steve Reich (recorded last year by the LA Philharmonic). We slightly edit a Madlib beat. Takeshi Terauchi, whom Bandcamp recently called Japan’s “surf rock god,” closes us out. We hope you enjoy.
