Medasin
Good morning.
Today we’re listening to Medasin, an American producer from Dallas. For the better part of a decade, Medasin has produced Flume-like fusions of festival EDM and bedroom beats. Last Friday he released an ambient album called sounds, a departure from his previous work. Recorded to tape and improvised with collaborators he bills as “the goatiest goats,”1 the record channels Carlos Niño and friends, capturing spontaneous jam sessions over pacific pads. We’re also playing Medasin’s 2018 record, Irene, which demonstrates his adeptness with the digital audio workstation.
