Good morning.
It’s Friday so we’re listening to something slightly more upbeat. Today we’re listening to dj +1, a Colombian electronic music producer from Bógota. We discovered him on Pitchfork’s Best Electronic Music of 2023 list from yesterday. As a producer and DJ he’s moved around a bunch – Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador – absorbing local club styles and developing an idiosyncratic, genre-bending mode of his own. His EP Aromáticas from August features propulsive percussion on some tracks and drumless ambiences on others. We’re also playing his 2022 LP, Conflicto e Interés, which goes consistently clubbier.

Enjoying this very much; it bounces and burbles with sunshine and life. It doesn't "sound like EDM", whatever that means - something about the melodic runs and choice of arrangement - to be honest it is almost too playful and magical to waste on workday background music.
