Today we’re listening to Daryl Groetsch, an American ambient music producer based in Portland, Oregon. Since the early aughts, he’s put out almost a hundred records, mostly under the name “Pulse Emitter.” He only started putting out music as Daryl Groetsch in 2022. He’s a real explorer of sound, producing, as his website notes, everything from “purely textural noise sculpting to post-Berlin School cybernetic prog compositions.” The Fader succinctly characterized him as a “Portland droner.”
