Good morning. Today we’re listening to the Brad Mehldau Trio, an American jazz trio. We’ve recommended Mehldau himself several times before. He was born in 1970 and grew up in Florida and Connecticut, eventually moving to New York City to study jazz at the New School in the late ‘80s.
Thanks for the reminder! I listened to Largo a lot back in the day. And Mehldau's interpretation of Paranoid Android is a classic: https://open.spotify.com/track/5Jz6iIgLRx5huCdlM8QDts?si=yrvmkzTISZ-CHUXP8mvnyA
Golden Slumbers is one of my all time favorite Beatles songs. The Brad Mehldau Trio did an amazing rendition.
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to all of their music.
Love his cover of Dear Prudence. Largo really is a great album.
