Today we’re listening to Applefish, an ambient project from UK-based guitarist and producer Nik Davies. Davies describes Applefish as “a musical exploration of life on Earth.” Using atmospheric synth pads and classic lead arpeggios, Davies creates contemplative music with gravitas and profundity. We’re playing Applefish’s first and only LP, Astrostat, which came out this past September. We’re also playing an earlier EP, Gum Space, which was his first release from back in 2019 and goes more EDM with fast-paced drum loops.
